Afterglow
Some beers earn their reputation — Afterglow keeps raising it. A longtime crowd favorite at Lincoln & South, Afterglow is our chance to revisit something already great and ask, how far can we push it? This latest batch is the result of dialing everything in just a little further — richer texture, brighter aromatics, and a softness that belies its 8.5% ABV. Lush, expressive, and deceptively smooth, Afterglow is designed to linger — long after the last sip. Currently pouring on draft in the taproom and available in 4-packs to enjoy (or share… if you’re feeling generous).

We didn’t hold back on this one.
Afterglow was built with intention at every step — from an aggressively adjusted malt bill to an eye-opening hop schedule. We pushed adjuncts to 54% to chase a velvety, creamy mouthfeel, mashed for a sweeter finish, and fermented cooler than normal to keep the alcohol beautifully hidden.
The result? Maximum hop saturation, a plush body, and a dangerously drinkable double IPA that drinks smoother than its strength suggests.

Afterglow started as a simple question: what if we made our favorite beer even better?
With access to the fresh 2025 hop crop, we took the opportunity to evolve a familiar classic. The goal wasn’t to reinvent Afterglow — it was to elevate it. Every adjustment was made with balance in mind: more aroma, more softness, more depth, without losing what made the beer a favorite in the first place.
This batch represents growth, refinement, and a little bit of fun along the way.

Hops: Citra, Nelson Sauvin, plus a generous addition of Galaxy from the 2025 crop
Dry Hopping: 5.5 lbs per barrel of the freshest hops we could get our hands on
Malt Bill: 54% adjuncts (flaked oats, flaked wheat, chit malt, brewer’s crystals)
Base Malt: 46%, leaving room for body, softness, and balance
Whirlpool Additions: 2 lbs per barrel for saturated hop expression
Fermentation: Cooler-than-usual to keep the 8.5% ABV smooth and subtle.
We’re proud of where Afterglow landed — and we’d love to hear what you think.
